What it delivers
The Chromex CXTE-1976 Tankless Flush Kit is a flush kit for descaling a tankless heat exchanger; its listing says it fits most all tankless water heaters such as Rinnai, Bosch, Noritz, Rheem, Takagi, Tempra.
A flush runs descaler from the bucket, through the pump and the heat exchanger and back, until the scale dissolves; the service valves make the connection.
How often: Rinnai says at least once a year, more on hard water. How long: up to about 45 minutes in its consumer guide, at least an hour at 3 to 4 GPM for its SENSEI models.
Other listed details: material: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, Plastic, Polyvinyl Chloride; model: CXTE-1976; solution: citric acid.
The listing gives a weight of 6.51 kg and comes as a combo set in the box.
