What it delivers
The WINTEMP WM36V 36 kW Electric Tankless Water Heater is a whole-house electric tankless rated at 36 kW on 240 volts. Its listing gives a maximum flow of 8.7 GPM.
Flow depends on how cold the incoming water is. Our estimate from its input: 5.5 GPM at a 45°F rise, falling to 3.5 GPM at 70°F, which is 1 shower at 2 GPM on a cold-climate winter day. Try your own inlet temperature.
At 240 volts 36 kW is about 150 amps (the listing states 150 A). The maker calls for 4 × 40 Amp double-pole breakers. A licensed electrician confirms the panel, the service and the wire before it goes in. On its own it takes more than 60% of a 200-amp service.
Electric tankless units need no venting and no gas, and work best where inlet water stays mild, because every degree of rise costs flow.
Also on the listing: connections: 3/4" npt; connectivity: WiFi; material: Metal; model: WM36V; warranty: 2 Year.
The listing gives dimensions of 13.7 in (W) x 19.4 in (H) and a weight of 38 lb.
Warranty, per the listing: 2 Year.
